Tutorial - Presets

The default settings have been chosen to give a pleasing, natural result for most images. However, sometimes you may want something slightly different and there are several preset options available on the preset list which is located just below the 'Open Image' button.

Preset 1 - Default
The 'Default' preset will equally affect the bright and dark areas of your image while keeping the colours and overall contrast as close to the original as possible.

Preset 5 - Detailed
The 'Detailed' preset works harder to extract even the smallest details from your image to give a super-sharp result. It gently boosts contrast and lightens dark areas but more aggressively darkens the subtle shadows in light areas to enhance textures.

Preset 6 - Natural
The 'Natural' preset concentrates on lightening dark shadows and only gently darkening the highights. This leaves softer subjects such as portraits, animals and flowers looking natural.
